CD number two. The title is from Microdisney's Singer's Hampstead Home.

I used a MIDI sequencer (a free version of Logic, distributed with Computer Music magazine) to arrange several of the tunes here. Converting MIDI to digital audio for subsequent processing was a peculiar process, the details of which I won't revisit here (I didn't just record the analog signal coming out of the sound card).

Some of this stuff is all right. A lot of it is rather repetitious, though.

Weird is an attempt to translate the opening of the Old English poem The Wanderer (or it may have been The Seafarer - I forget), and set the results to a plausible imitation of Codeine's glum-rock masterwork The White Birch.
